Team Profile
THE HOCKEY PROGRAM
The IUP Ice Hockey program was founded in 1970 as one of the charter members of the first intercollegiate hockey league in Western Pennsylvania and one of the first in the United States. In the years since, IUP Hockey has developed into one of the premier programs in the nation. The past decade has seen tremendous growth and improvement, most of importance was the construction of the Indiana Ice Center, a premier facility only minutes from the heart of campus.
Currently, IUP has two Championship caliber teams that have achieved more success that most programs in the country.
Our program has one simple goal. To make sure each player not only develops his hockey and team skills, but develops as a student and person.
